Introduction: The Supervised Internship in Health Services (SIHS) aims to integrate students into real health care settings, particularly within the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). Objective: To investigate the perceptions of final-year students from a private university who worked in Health Units in Campo Largo, Paraná, Brazil, regarding the SIHS. Method: A cross-sectional study with data collection conducted through a questionnaire that included questions on personal information, class period, internship location, main activities performed, identified positive and negative aspects, and overall evaluation of the internship. Results: The responses were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods (Bardin’s Content Analysis). Seventeen students participated, 15 female (88.2%) and two male (11.8%). The mean age was 27.7 years, with a higher number of students in the morning shift (n = 9; 53%). Most participants (n = 15; 88%) rated the SIHS as “excellent.” The qualitative analysis highlighted the students’ technical and clinical development, as well as the strengthening of their humanistic and social perspectives in patient care. Conclusion: The SIHS is an essential pedagogical component in dental education, as it links theory and practice within a context of social responsibility.
